    Smile Performance Upgrades

    Hello,

I have never tuned a car before, but I would like to start my 08 SRX4 3.6. However, either I'm bad at finding performance parts or I should just wait till I trade this in for something else down the road. If there are any good upgrade available, please point me in the right direction. I'm new, but a quick learner. This is just my first car that I feel is worthy of spending extra money on. Please, no scolding, just be honest.

Before trying to tune an engine with virtually no performance options do an oil consumption test to see how well the engine is doing beforehand. On my 3.6 besides the 1.5 at a every 1000 or so miles I've done an air intake and plenum spacer and didn't notice much difference besides the intake sound.

    Re: Performance Upgrades

Performance parts just really don't exist for the 3.6 or really even the 4.6.

You can get a tune with EFILive / HPTuners and probably MadTuner as well. Really all we can do is adjust shift points and reduce tq management to make the drive more fun.

GM didn't leave any low hanging performance fruits behind on the SRX / STS / XLR power trains.

Thanks for the replies. I'll see if I can find the Australian supercharger, but I may just learn to accept the car for what it is. Its really nice, but I won't be upgrading to one of the newer models. I personally don't like the 2010+ versions. Love the BOSE
