Unknown damage - Front right rubbing sound

I have a 2009 SRX. recently I was forced to dodge a car that crossed the center line and I hit the hell out of my front right tire/rim on a curb. ever since then i hear what can only be described as a rubbing sound which progressively get worse, especially after reaching 40 MPH. I took it to my mechanic who is familiar with the car and he said he thought the wheel bearings were beginning to go bad, which sounds like mechanic speak for i don't know the problem.

Anyone else experience a similar issue, and if so, what was the resolution? Thanks in advance.

Could be a bearing.... could be the brake shroud rubbing...

Impacts like that can cause some serious damage.. you need to take it to a suspension specialist and have it looked at.

Most Tire Centers have suspension knowledgeable people.

    Probably bent something...
I'd look at getting the bering replaced and then get a proper 4 wheel alignment done to correct the damage caused by the curb.
