From what I can tell, this is not a huge job as the hitch bolts into factory holes in the frame, but as anyone tied into the SRX wiring?
I'm going to do this on a 2004 and will only be towing a very light duty trailer with my R1 on it. Shouldn't be too heavy for the vehicle even though the V6 seems a little weak for the size of the SRX.
Thanks for any ideas in advance.

Be sure to tap the holes first before bolting up the hitch as rust forms in the holes and need to be cleaned out first. (trust me on this)
Don't waste time tapping into the harness, buy the gm harness for around $50 and save your self the headaches. Plugs right in.

Just buy the Cadillac wiring harness for towing. It ties right into the factory harness and will save a lot of time and hassle.

Thanks for the tips. Should I buy that harness from the Cadillac dealer or can I get it cheaper online someplace?

I bought mine at the dealer as it was very close in price compared to online. But I live in Canada and shipping is more when purchasing online.

Just search in here for more... .. several of us have been there, done that, and posted photos.

For any future searchers, the 6 bolts that are required are size 7/16-14. I read that 12mm were the ones to use, but they don't fit.
