    08 Blower Fan

My 08 blower fan is not working, the lights on the dials turn on, but no fan motor, and as you can imagine its cold outside. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, location of the fuse(s) to start, and maybe how they are marked. Thanks!

The tapping the blower motor itself underneath the passenger side dash there is a panel to.remove. tap it and or fool with the wiring and see if it comes on. If it does the. One of those is the issue. Otherwise apply direct battery power with some wire to the positive side of the blower plug. If it comes on it is a climate panel or wiring/relay issue.

Ok, I have power to the motor. So I'm thinking the blower motor is bad, Advanced Auto parts has them in stock, has anyone used them and are they a good fit? Thanks Again for the advice.

    Re: 08 Blower Fan

As a follow-up, Thanks Again for all the advice. I pulled the blower motor out, and then directly connected it to the battery before I picked a replacement. And to my surprise, it worked! So I checked the wire connector into the blower once again, and it still was good, so I plugged the blower back in and it works. So my question is, I'm usually not that lucky, so what may have caused the temporary failure?

What I do it cut the bad plug off and replace the end with some new spade connectors and plug them in individually and no I've never seen a short or fire caused by that.
