So glad I got rid of my SRX and moved on the a BMW

See ya suckers, I have an X5 35D now and I don't have to deal with crap GM stuff breaking.

Now I have to deal with the X5 breaking lol

My PDC stopped working for some reason and I have no idea yet, I am so afraid of this thing. I also got a CEL on the way home from buying it followed by a reduced power message, from what I have read it could be nothing or everything, I should ignore it and deal with it if it comes back lol

So to all the GM haters you can change the brand and problems but they are still break!

That said it is a very nice ride so far and the diesel is awesome, very easy to drive with 425 ft lbs at 1750, ours has the leather dash so it is classed up a bit but I would say as nice as the SRX inside, not better but different.

Amen to that. I did it the other way around, traded my gremlin infested 750i for the SRX.
Two weeks later the BMW engine crashed and burned (cracked valve stems) when the dealer who bought it was demoing it to a prospective buyer.

I dodged a bullet there, Matrix style

@conedoctor: check the battery. A bad battery will cause all kinds of phantom error codes.
The PDC sensors are very sensitive to cold and moisture. Mine were completely unreliable in winter.
    From ashes into the fire...

LOL you can count me, I sure am not getting one after reading this forum (unless I find a really great bargain, orandaberg selling price and 09 and it has FULL WARRANTY) where it will not cost me a nickle to bring the car in every week LOL

    Good luck
I had an 05 BMW 530 , everyday when I started it a different warning would come up on the DIC.
My 07SRX has never had a problem.

Re: So glad I got rid of my SRX and moved on the a BMW

I think some of you guys are missing the point.

I love my loved my SRX's and never would have sold it but we needed a tow vehicle and I traded my Denali in on a CTS so the X5 35D was a good choice so we did it.

I never had any problems with my SRX and I don't think I ever would have but this site has so many stupid, ignorant whiners that are always saying the other brands are so much better but my point was THEY ARE NOT any better.

Holy dyna guys are you all that dim or do I suck that much at humor?

    Pinhauler you can suck it...

Opel you missed the point huge!!!!! The my two SRX's have been awesome and I would get another and not worry about it, they have never nickel and dimed me, I spend about $750 on parts in like 7-8 years on 2 different SRX's. The X5 was a side step IMO...

I DID NOT SELL MY SRX TO GET RID OF IT NOR DID IT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS, I AM AN SRX FAN!

Yeah, I got it also. You guys need to lighten up By the way, my 04 SRX had many problems which I slowly fixed. No issues in the last 1 1/2 years.

I just picked up a 2008 with less than 40k miles on it. Awesome car. Just wonder if I should have got the V8 instead. More horsepower but crappy gas millage. And I got the joke too btw. Seemed pretty obvious to me.

It would be nice if we could slip the twin turbo 3.6 under the hood of our rides.
I miss the >400 ftlbs of torque fI had with my TBSS.

I'd rather just slip the twin turbos from the TT 3.6L onto the N* sure they might be a touch smaller than should be used on an engine of this size but they would certainly add to its power.
