    stock radio to navigation

    hello everyone, I have a 06 SRX with a stock radio and I was think adding a oem Navigation system, am I able to do it without cutting any cables??
    will it fit naturally and work properly?
    will the original cables fit the new original nav sys?

    short answer is no, don't even attempt... just find yourself an srx with navigation and save yourself the headache, time, and money

    long answer is yes it can be done but i wouldn't recommend it unless you're a masochist

    Personally, I am not wild about the NAV in my 2007. Granted I never updated the disc. But the touch screen gives me fits. I refuse to pay for Onstar for live traffic. And either a current portable NAV or a cell phone app will outperform the factory NAV every time. The same is true with the NAV in my Infinity.....so this is not a Ccadillac thing with me. PJ

    Agree with PJ. I go for my phone before the nav every time. The map labeling and Scaling is useless when driving around.
