Check Engine Light Issues 2006 SRX 4.6 V8

Checked the codes and found all fault codes turned on. Reset codes went for a ride and check engine light came on again. Checked which codes were on and found them all on again. Also dealer could not program key fobs for this car because vehicle would not communicate for the programming. Is this possibly an issue with the communication module. The car starts & runs great. Any ideas?

it might be easier to see what codes didn't come up. Everything from exhaust issues to engine misfires. Cam & crank sensors you name it we're getting it.

Start with the cheapest issue. Better yet; start with the one issue that would be causing the most problems.

Do what Glake always says, pull the connections apart and put them back together to reseat them.

Just what I was about to suggest, plus first disconnect neg. batt. cable, then remove engine cover for access and remove/reseat both ECM connectors (use Radio Shack electronic cleaner and blow dry if you wish) and do same for ECBM (below fuse block). Then remove pos. batt. cable and hold the two cables together for a few seconds. Re-attach pos. then neg. and see what you've got.

Re: Check Engine Light Issues 2006 SRX 4.6 V8

Who changed the sensor? Did they do the relearn procedure for the new one? Lean codes for both banks mean a vacuum leak in the intake stream that affects both sides, likely an error in reassembling the engine after replacing the sensor. Mechanic should make it right for you.
