Thanks that makes a lot of since it looked like a fuel filter to me and the fluid was leaking from the top of it I must have a broken line above the filter Is there a way to coupling a broken line without having to replace the whole line

could be #8 leaking, you need to get under and look either with a crawler if you have drive up ramps or lift the truck

If that quick connect is damaged you can replace it with a section of fuel grade hose wig pressure clamps and be fine. I've done that on several vehicles especially with the brittle PLASTIC fuel lines on the 3.8 motors

You can splice a new section of brake line if you have and can use a flaring tool.

Do not know where you are from 040777chris , if its Europe, in most countries, its illegal to splice brake lines, it will work but would not pass the EU control and if insurance found out you would loose coverage in a accident.

I agree it can be repaired and I agree with Rusty troll, may not be a good idea.

    Maybe just a connection?

Flaring tools are not ABC,buy a cheap one and you end up doing the job a couple times, I know I have been there, I just ended up removing the whole line and replacing it. If your DIY you can do it yourself(removing) and take it to a shop to copy it and let them flare it for you. I am sure in the states you have tons of shops to replace brake lines, is the truck drivable?
