2008 audio input jack... And cell phone calls.

Ok, so I stick the jack thing in my cell phone, and the radio... I was pleasantly surprised to see that I can make cell calls over the car sound system... The sound quality is fantastic - HOWEVER the people on other end get horrible eco feed back...

I replaced the cord, tried to lower sound, nothing helps...

Note:I have the cell mounted inches from the radio...

Any suggestions? For help with eliminating the echo/feed back on the other end?

    Just fyi - using a Samsung s3

I don't think it was designed for that purpose. The person on the other end of the phone conversation is just hearing themselves played back over your car stereo (with a delay)

yup...it's for an iPod type device (which your phone is acting as)...they sound great over your speakers...they can't hear you back properly...no microphone (but for the one on your device if it's so equipped)...

I just use a bluetooth earpiece with my S2. Works great no matter where I am and the microphone has background noise cancelling.

I use mine exactly as you described with the aux cord and a air vent mount so my galaxy note 2 sits just to the right of the stereo.

I've heard a few times that there is echo, but I never really get any complaints and I use it daily. I just tell people im in the car and they get over it. Ive talked to a lot of people with their Mercedes or bmw with bluetooth and had poor quality and echo. So I think its just part of the deal.

It Really beats having to wear a ear piece or spend $300 on the blue star or costar or whatever device would turn onstar into bluetooth.

its a connection near the radio/nav you would know if you had one... if you have 04 - my guess is you dont have one.
