    V6 uses a 5l40e, V8 used 5l50e or 6l50e depending on year.

Why waste the time. An lsx swap would make worlds more sense.

Does not just buying a V be the logical question?

So do the math for me, I think it will be cheaper and better at the end of the day.

Which northstar are you planning on using?

    the RWD configured LH2?
or one of the FWD configured engines (L37/LD8)?

Re: 5L40E for NS which is faster?

Paying an additional $26k excise tax, at a minimum + the cost of a CTS-V in Europe is a big argument in favor of going for a Northstar swap. However even if the mechanical obstacles to a swap can be relatively easy to overcome, coming up with a PCM that is happy with a Northstar engine and 5L50e transmission in a CTS chassis may be a very difficult problem to overcome.

I can not realize the AWD for CTS, especially since I do not need. I think just about rear-wheel drive and possible problems with the length of cardan shaft and the differential
