    If you're coasting, your transmission may still change gears changing the RPMs of the engine...

    transmission is not down shifting,,as son as rpms =1000 it jumps up to 2000 while coasting in 5th gear

    and keeps doing it till I give it gas

    The ECM may be anticipating a downshift to maintain speed control and increasing RPMs for smoother transition, but the TCM doesn't cooperate. Mine does this, nothing to worry about.
