    Grill replacement...

Can you replace the gray stock grill with a painted one marked Sport Grill???...are they the same size???...I'm just talking the upper grill without the stainless mesh behind it...or if someone wishes, is it easier or cheaper to just paint the blasé looking gray grill???

Any help would be appreciated...I have read both that the SRX can and cannot use the SRX Sport Grill in place of the stock standard SRX grill and some mention finding a 1st generation CTS Sport Grill...

    Thanks,

    Bill

    Re: Grill replacement...

Maybe I'm not persistent enough but I can't come up with one post of anybody who has replaced the standard grill with the sport grill without replacing the front fascia. Other options using the standard grill design, besides painting, are adding chrome strips to the leading edge of the fins or an entirely chromed standard grill replacement. There is also the chrome surround that matches up well with chrome strip on the hood and, of course, the full mesh replacements.

    Re: Grill replacement...

Thanks...it seems those that have replaced it used a CTS Sport Grill or changed the whole front end unless they resorted to painting or aftermarket...

A sport grill will not fit without a sport fascia

I replaced my 2004 stock grill with a double wire mesh grill and it fit perfect. Cost was $500.
