Would like to hear from some 2nd gen CTS owners

So we have been test driving stuff and looks like the SRX will be leaving us soon

We looked at an ML350 and drove the X5D (dude that thing hauls) but both were not a Cadillac inside, so now were thinking CTS.

What year did they sort out the oil usage in the CTS and can anyone compare the 2nd gen CTS and 1st gen SRX and what we stand too loose.

We are going to go look at a 2010 Wagon, very nice looking inside.

If I remember correctly there weren't a lot of issues that got resolved between 1st and 2nd. Oil consumption still an issue. Look at the sunroof issue on the srx. Still not fixed.

Not between 1st and 2nd generation, between years of the second generation only. I think 2010 they got it figured out but not sure.

Cone didn't you post something before about the modified pcv and valve cover baffle system on the newer ones?

The post about the new PCV design was made by SC2150. The new PCV design was 1 change of a multitude of changes made to the V6 to produce the new LFX motor for 2012. Other changes include redesigned cylinder heads that incorporate the exhaust manifolds, composite intake manifold, redesigned throttle body, redesigned block incorporating cast in cast iron cylinder liners, redesigned front cover, and redesigned oil pan.
