    Which Cat to replace

I have a p420 code bank 2 (is that the driver or passenger side) and the dirver side pre cat was replaced. I get great gas milage and car runs good and replaced the downstream O2 sensors and I did have a problem with the plugs I replaced them and got all kinds of mis fires but the parts store said tomake sure they were gapped at 050 andI did that and the mis fires code went away but the car always ran smooth and I don't feel this damagedthe cats since it was only one day I had these codes and I drove car easy and it ran well. So is it the precats or downstream cat (in middleof car) that I need to replace or could this be a lean mis somewhere? I just got this car and I am upset with all the repairs so far.

Theres only 2 cats. Both are part of the manifold. The "downstream" cat youre referring to is a resonator.

Bank 2 is the drivers side with cyl 2 4 6
Bank 1 is pass side with cyl 1 3 5

420 code is for Bank 1, 430 code would be Bank 2. Never heard of a P420 Bank 2 code.

I apologize that you are experiencing issues with the SRX you just bought. If you are interested in having a dealership diagnose the concerns you are experiencing, I would be more than happy to assist you in working with them.
