Cold Air Intake = Check engine light

I know we just got the car back from the transmission shop but the Volant CAI had been sitting on my shelf long enough. I put it in yesterday, started it up, revved it a bit (sounds cool by the way) all with no engine light coming on. Drove it to the corner gas station and came home. Today my wife left for work and after about 20 min, she texted me the engine light had come on. I've read it might come on and then go off a day or so later. Anyone else have that experience?

Having it scanned and noting the code would be worlds better than pissing in the dark don't you think?

Stop at a parts store for a free read on the way to/from work. Only takes a few minutes.

Make sure you plugged all the connectors back in. I left one unhooked before when changing out air filters.

You really need to know what the code is. I wonder if you need to reset the computer so it can recalc new fuel trim? Or any leaks after the MAF sensor can trip up a code.
