    2009 SRX - Bluetooth

We have a 2009 SRX when trying to program the On-Star the menu gives me choices including Bluetooth and more commands, but when spoken into the mike after the prompt the message back is " pardon?" " I didn't get that" until it quits out. Is this a software problem, a hardware problem or do I even have this as a feature of my car? Blue tooth is not even mentioned in the manual, and if is not a feature, why would we have it as an on star menu item?

    Re: 2009 SRX - Bluetooth

I have a 2009 as well and do not have Bluetooth. This is why the Onstar still has the ability to be a phone too. In 2010 whit the new SRX they have Bluetooth to your phone and took away the Onstar phone capability. In fact, I do not believe that there is Onstar phone in any of the new Cadillac models.

My 2011 Luxury pairs with my iphone via Bluetooth. It also has its own built-in phone with its own phone number. Minutes can be added to the built-in phone via the Onstar account. I believe this is true for all Gen 2 SRXs.

I stand corrected. I would have though that Onstar dropped the phone feature after the advent of Bluetooth to your own cell phone.
