    Throttle Position Sensor Codes P2135, P0068, P0638, P017

I have a 2004 SRX that is shutting off on me. The first time was in traffic idling. No check engine light was on. When I restated the car the check engine light came on. I took it to the auto parts store to have a report ran and it came up P2135. Took it to my mechanic 3 days later and even with the engine light on, no codes showed. The light went off. It's one week later and the engine light has been going off and on. The TC light comes on then the "engine power reduced" light comes on and the engine shuts down. It does start back after about 5 mins and will run fine. The engine light does stay on, then after about a start or two the light goes off. I took it back to the auto store and today it came up with 4 codes P2135, P0068, P0638, P017! A few starts after that the engine light went back off. Anybody have any ideas or know what could possibly be going on. I am totally frustrated!

First, check all connections of the air intake downstream from the MAF sensor incl. bolts that hold TB to intake man. Then remove and clean all wire connectors at MAF and TB , add a smidgeon of dielectric grease and re assemble. This may cure intermittent problems that the DTCs suggest.

Yep I had very similar issues and eventually replaced the wiring pigtail to the throttle body. If you do all as glake has said and they eventually come back, that's probably your issue. I guess it's a GM problem for all cars around those years, the wires inside the cases break and you get intermittent contact.
