What size and brand are those. I like the look of your car with those wheels. Also notice that you tinted your tail lights. Did you use film or spray for those?

They are the stock cady wheels, they were a mess, plastic clear coat was pealing, horrible condition it took several hours per wheel for prep. Painted jet black, 6 coats of clear then wet sanded and polished. 20 inch.

Used vht rattle can, pulled the lights off the car to do so, a complete pain, but only have to do it once :-)

def not a whip... lol, just a car.

and thankyou, it was a good price 16k and 70k ish miles...

all i did was paint the wheels, tail lights, and calipers/caliper holders and k&n filter.

as for wanting feed back on the car, i was more looking just to post pictures, not many on here for people to get any ideas. if they are diy type people... (diy = do it yourself) ...

look in to my other post where i cut off the resenator, some very interesting stuff i think for srx owners.

    thanks again ...

    Re: 2008 srx v6

Well, I have to be honest it was a huge pain! They Def are not mentioned to be removed,

I took rear vanity panels off, they "pop" of with some gental aggressive pulling... Then I put a small flashlight in the bottom of the passenger side, loosened the base speaker, and used several extentions, also I laid a long magnet at the base of the light (I figured the "bolt" would fall off as I removed the socket. To my luck it was plastic. At that point I removed the passenger side rear light. I employed my 8 year old to retrieve the plastic fasteners (small hands and much more flexible)

Rear drivers side - uhhg even harder... I unbolted or loosened any thing in my way, then struggled slowly and impatiently to do the same on the passenger side.

To reinstall it seemed much easier - I used a small drop of rubber cement to glue fasteners to socket to reinstall (other wise the fastener would fall out of socket before I could tighten it to tail light)

(NOTE:! I BROKE broke the passenger side column speaker as I was removing the vanity panel - use caution, seem the wire was fairly short)

    Good luck

Thanks guys for my other post for comfirming I could just unbolt the crossbar from the strut towers... I painted the cover thingy, with a Metal based ground coat, and then sprayed a (lack of a better decription) candy blue with 5 coats of clear, did some small detail painting on the "v6" and "3.6" "vvt" (btw what does the VVT stand for?)

and then the strut towner brace/ cross bar is painted in a way that makes it look like carbon fibre...

Most ppl don't have or know what it means. Think of vtec with hondas it's sort of the same concept.

    Re: 2008 srx v6

got it... looked it up, VVT in this motor (and most) is a way of doing several things... produce better torque and hp through out the range of RPMS... in stead of just producing hp in the higher ends of RPM VVT can help maintaing power at low and higher RPMS - ditto with torque. and add in fuel maintence as well.

lol... the idea of this post was to show the paint of the cover and the carbon fiber painted shock tower cross over... just to give others ideas - and to show off the stuff i like to do (and get paid for - lol)
