2009 SRX radio swap - Pioneer avic x950bh

After a few hours of figuring out how to get the steering wheel controls to work, it's done. Dumb mistake on my part. Navigation works great.

    Very Nice...

If it wasnt for the suspension diver memory positions and voice integration on my STS's nav I would of bought the same one!

1 downfall to using the factory bose system with this unit is that you lose the fade function. Not that I really used it but I would have liked to restore all factory functions. Still an awesome unit. Definitely recommend it

Nice, does your sub woofer work? If you go to test mode does it find sub woofer and center speaker on the front dash

The know the sub woofer does work. I will check the center speaker when I get home as I don't drive it much.

The know the sub woofer does work, I do not understand the sentence. The reason I ask is because when I do a sound test with my kenwood the sub does not light up or the center speaker. I also cannot tweak the sub in the configuration, so basically I was wondering if a after market radio can co exists with the OEM amp?

lol sorry, I know the sub works. I can hear it. Just not sure on center channel. I don't think I can adjust the sub level either as I could only connect front output from unit to GM pac. Hence no fade function.

Btw Thanks for the link to ebay parts that I needed on one of your other posts.

I will check the functionality closer when I get home

ok so you can see the sub icon(lit up) and it works on the sound check? but not adjust the bass, maybe thats where my problem lies I see no sub (lit up) on my sound check or center speaker, on my 300C the center speaker only works with surround sound, but I hooked up a separate amp, thus I had control on the bass and center speaker, so this is where my question lies, if the OEM amp is capable of working with a after market stereo

    What is the "sound check"?

Great. I'll have to double check my sub connection behind the radio.
Sound check is a cofiguration in the headunit. You use it to check all your speakers an subs are connected.

I have no idea whether this applies to auto sound systems but seeing that I'm a bit of a of an audiophile I'll throw it out FWIW.

Surround sound systems typically have at least 5 channels plus a sub and stereo systems have 2 channels plus a sub but some will blend the left and right channels to create a center channel.

At least this is how it works with home systems but auto systems may do something different.

Right, but how do you enable it?

It should be in your audio setup
