Woe and anger with wiring trailer hitch

I ordered and installed a Curt hitch for my 07 SRX. The install went OK.
Now I ordered the wiring kit they suggested. So I call tech support from Curt and the guy says "You have to remove the left rear panel for access." That sucks man. So I go out and remove it and let me tell you, I have my doubts as to whether that thing is ever going back in right. Anyway all I see is the tailgate motor, a big fan motor and large bundles of wires that I don't know if I can reach without further taking the Caddy apart. I stop and call support again before doing more. Well get this, this guy says, "Sorry buddy but that model requires a hard connection. Soldering etc." I'm ready to dowse the car in gasoline and call it a day. Not really but it would feel good for a few minutes. Does anyone know if the dealer has a wiring connector that will work?

You should have done a search first, the how to is posted.

    Do you have the V92?

Do you need brakes or just lights?

    Just lights.

    ----------

I don't know if it has V92 or not, I bought it used.

    ----------

There is a Tow Haul button/light on center instrument pane.

    ----------

GM part# 12499575 However I'm guessing I have the V92 option because there is a connector over the left exhaust and there is the tow button on the cent dash.

Neither of those two make it V92.

Yes you buy the GM part and call it a day, plugs right in and your done.
