D/c battery. Touch cables together for 10 seconds. Reconnect cables.

Be more clear on your instructions so people don't short stuff out, yes some people do not understand.

Take off your battery cables from the battery, touch them together then reconnect, make sure the battery is not connected when doing this.

Heres the answer for my question why touching neg and pos together does what it does

you should be able to unhook the battery and touch the cable ends together. This will discharge the KAM (keep alive memory) circuits in all the modules, basically clearing the memory.
The longer the battery is disconnected, the better your chances are at clearing out all the codes. All you are really doing is disconnecting and reconnecting all the modules on the car, just like a regular battery disconnect.

Anyone agree (its from another cad forum on here) Just in case anyone else was curious
