    Brake fitting size

    Anyone know the size wrench I need to take the fitting off to remove the brake tubing,this is the hard pipe from front to rear

    Bet it's not, unless we are in 1964 all of a sudden. Did you try a 14mm flare nut wench.

    yep its 9/16 thats what I needed to remove the fittings, just finished removing the lines both to the rear, the worst of the rust is where the lines fit into the brackets holding the lines together to the frame, however if GM used the right material there would be no rusted lines.
    14mm flare nut wrench? Is that a another word for open end wrench? and no 14 mm did not fit

    A flare nut wrench is like a 6 point box wrench with a section removed so you can slip it on over the tubing...gives you the grip of the box wrench in situations where you would otherwise have to use an open end wrench.

    Now thats clever, I will use one to refit, and remove the other 3 needed
