SRX Gasket recall

What and when was the gasket recall. How can I find out if the dealer did the work before it left the lot?

I am unaware of any such recall. There were three recalls total for the 04 SRX (ABS - Mar '04, seats - Sept. '03, and steering linkage - June '04) and none at all that I am aware of for the 05.

Neither can I find any TSB on it: http://www.alldata.com/TSB/79/047905JC.html.

Must be so new that the databases haven't caught up with it.

Haven't been around for awhile. I've had my 04 SRX into the dealer twice to fix the gasket around the sunroof and I'm getting the run around. It's been there 5 days (I do have a free loaner), but first they told me they had to take it to "their autobody shop" because they could not repair at dealer. Then 3 days later I got a call saying that "their body shop was backed up" and it was being returned to the dealer to fix (where the dealer said they could not fix it at first. As I said this is the second time. Unfortunately Florida does not have a lemon law, but I know they are giving me the runaround. The gasket literally pops out of the sunroof in certain areas when travelling at like 80mph. It also lifts out when you open the sunroof. Dealer said they had to remove both sections of glass, etc.etc.

I'm going to start working my way up the chain tomorrow. Will let you know.

If anyone has had any similar experiences pls let me know. Ammo is ammo!

Actually five total now for the 2004 SRX....

In following up with my little gasket problem...it's been 6 days now and the "only mechanic at the dealer" who can remove and re-align the glass went home "sick."

I think I'm going to park my a*s down there tomorrow and start working up the administrative chain 'cause I think I'm getting a run-around.

Got my SRX back today. Roof seems to work ok. I opened and closed it about 50 times. I also sprayed the top with a hose for about 20 minutes...no leaks..so far so good. But 7 days to put down a new gasket?
