    My oil consumption test

So, I went back to the dealer for my first oil level check. I've put 1,200 miles on it since it was last there for the oil change. They told me that I had to bring it back every 1k to 1.5k miles. It was down a quart already which fails the spec of 1qt per 2k miles. I need to bring it back two more times and if the pattern is the same (down a quart/1k miles) they will call TAC and get direction as to what they need to do.

Let me know how it goes cause im.starting my consumption test next week. I average 1.5-2qts every 2500 miles. And that's down from 3-4qts before the pcv mod. Now new chains and gaskets no more physical leaks so we shall see what happens.

49k. And I asked the service manager if there will be any impact when the B to B expires. He said don't worry as I have the CPO to 100K and a PT warranty to 100k as well.

RLH AND REP......I and many others here hope you both can get this matter squared away to your satisfaction. And thank you SC250 for the education process. You have spent a lot of time posting your experiences along with lengthy descriptives and photos. You did not have to go to that extreme to help others.....but you did.

Please keep us up to date.

    Re: My oil consumption test

Well, I brought it back to the dealer for the second oil level check (after another ~1k miles) and this time it was not low. They said it was right on the full mark. Pretty strange that it would use 1qt in the first 1k miles and then not use any in the next 1k miles. Anyway, I'll bring it back again in another 1k miles and well see what happens.
