Passenger heated seat does not work.

So recently the passenger heated seat stopped working. When I push the button the indicator light of high/low does not come on. I changed the 10A fuse located under the rear passenger seat to no avail. Anyone know where to go from here?

Here's the start from the SM-

    Turn OFF the ignition.
Disconnect the heated seat module connector C1.
Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
Measure the voltage from the battery positive voltage circuit of the heated seat module to a good ground.
Does the voltage measure within the specified range?

    10-15 v

Measure the voltage from the ignition 3 voltage circuit of the heated seat module to a good ground.

The module is under the seat near the right front.

Re: Passenger heated seat does not work.

So it turns out both heating elements are out and need to be replaced as diagnosed by the dealership while it was in for another power steering pump swap! (thats a long story in itself). They want $130 for the parts and $275 for the labor. I will order both heating elements off of GMpartsdirect for way cheaper and take apart the seat myself. I have read a few tutorials on non SRX caddys but figure its not much different. Wish me luck!

$275 is not bad, guess it depends on what your free time is worth and how much you have.

I do some things but other stuff I am more than happy to just drop it off.

Can't be that hard to get the heaters out and back in, how do the seat covers come off?

If I do it myself it will cost me $80 which enough savings for me to do it vs about $400 total at the dealership.
