Replacing front brake pads & wheel bearings

I hear grinding when turning left or right, so I ordered new wheel bearings (also front brake pads, as a shop told me that they were about due). Any tips from anyone? What does the electrical plug on the bearings do? FYI, I got a set of ceramic brake pads and both wheel bearings off ebay for ~$130 delivered. Thanks! Don

The electric plug is connectivity for your Anti Lock Break Sensor.

So your SRX must be rear wheel drive ? Price of the parts seem way to cheap. You get what you pay for !

Yep - RWD - never had a problem with parts bought on line. Been buying parts off ebay since 2000.

    Hi SLCLK500
just replaced my discs and pads with parts from raybeston performance
I had before EBC discs and brakes
I see no different in brake handling, only the black dust on the rims. And, the price is nearly the half of EBC. I paid for pad and Discs (front and rear) about 500EUR (about 650US$)..
I use my car on our Autobahn and sometimes i ride with 200 KmH, good brakes are a life insurance.

Well...sort of. It is actually for the wheel speed sensor in the hub. Wheel speed is necessary information for various things such as the speedometer, Traction Control System, Anti-lock Brake System, and the Electronic Stability Program.
