    V6 timing chain survey

For the benefit of all SRX owners, please post back the following survey IF you have had a timing chain related problem with your vehicle:

    - Build year?
    - Mileage (or state km) when issue occurred?
    - Are you the original owner?
    - Were oil changes made at scheduled intervals?
    - Was Mobil 1 Synthetic 5W30 used?
    - Is the vehicle used mostly in city or hwy driving?
    - On a scale from (no) 0-10 (yes!) how aggressive are you when it comes to driving?
    - Was excessive oil use noticed?

Sample response: 2004, 79000 mi, yes, yes, not always, city, 6

I am hoping to tabulate and post the results in about 30 days. Thanks for your participation!

Great idea. Thanks for the effort organizing these data from problem cases. I would humbly submit that it might also be useful to note experiences of excessive oil consumption (e.g. "How frequently did you need to add oil between oil changes?"), Just a thought.

Might as well get the bad boy out of the way:
    2008; chains replaced at 16K & 33K - now at 45K; no; yes (since 38K); yes; highway; 5; yes (since 38K about 1 quart/750 miles).
