You can easily beat that 19.1 and get the EPA rating which I think is around 23......

depends on just where your trip leads you. If you take a trip from Morgantown, WV. down to Charleston, WV and try to maintain
the speed limit all the way, You'll be lucky to average 20 with AWD.

Prospective item #47 on your list, PROF. Substantial and inexplicable fuel mileage decline right after the dealership replaced your timing chains. At this point you might be well advised to keep the list growing while you seek justice from GM and Cadillac.

If I lived near you, I would drive over there with you. We could then hang out with the General Manager of the dealership and ask him to get on the phone with the GM higher ups until he reached a decision-maker.

I'd also be inclined to order us a pizza while killing time in the service waiting room, chatting with other waiting customers, until he/she reached a decision maker. Either we'd get some substantive action or we would be escorted out by the police for "disturbing the peace" or "creating mahem and a public nuisance" with other curious customers waiting for their vehicles, wondering if they were about to be treated in similar fashion. I realize you dealership has been as helpful as they think they can be under the circumstances. But fair is fair. I'd even wear a suit and tie to at least give us a credible appearance.

That is what I can get pure highway on long trips on my 2007 AWD N* V8 if I keep the SRX around 72 or under, use cruise, don't get stuck in traffic, or have to make more than a stop of two per tank. Have seen as high as 22.8 on a tank and 22.4-22,6 on several other full tanks as well. 62,000 miles on the odometer, original ignition, tires at 32psi, premium fuel, and climate control set to auto (A/C on)......with 4 occupants and the full compliment of luggage. 21.9-22.2mpg is more the norm.

    PJ...

    I hear ya!

FYI: I checked my MPG for around town this morning... 16.1.

I used to get around 23 HMPG - before the chains... Right after the chains, and for about 2 months it dropped to 10/14... and gradually worked its way to the current 16/19. I spoke several times with various people at the dealership, and they assured me that was normal for this car.

The Sticker says 14/22 is what these are supposed to get, with the little disclaimer that your actual mileage may vary. So, If I am getting better then 14 around town, I guess I can't complain.

Funny - my 340 RWHP Mustang GT - which I can NOT drive without putting my foot in it with EVERY take off - gets 15/27 - and if I "De-tune for milage" with my Predator Tuner, I can get 33mpg on the highway (but performance noticeably suffers.)
