    2004 srx rear end noise

My 04 srx makes a clicking noise when pulling out fast.
sounds like its coming from the rear end . Resembles the sound a loose chain would make when slipping over a sprocket. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Re: 2004 srx rear end noise

Seems I had a rear wheel bearing once (years ago) that made a clicking sound when it started going bad.

U joints? Seems they might also make that sound as they go bad.

    Differential?

Good luck - wish I could guess something really inexpensive.

If you have AWD, it could be the transfer case.

Thanks Don, You pointed me in the right direction.
after researching the transfer case chain problems, I am sure this is my problem.
thanks to everyone who posted the fix for this problem . I have ordered a chain and will begin repair as soon as it arrives.
