    Matte.....welcome to the forum.

Can you describe the symptoms a bit more, like when this started to happen? Did you check the key fob battery? Does the liftgate fail to work with your second key fob?

    PJ

EDIT: 08 beat me to it.

    Re: liftgate lock

Behind the right rear trim panel there is a liftgate lock relay. If that works you may have a bad connection at the lock itself or a bad lock solenoid.

It goes through the left rear door module.

Did you get your locks to work? I'm having the same problem on an '04 SRX. If I press lock 3 times on my fob and try and open it, it sounds the alarm when you pull the handle but is still unlocked. How can I fix this??

    Re: liftgate lock

Guys ,really simple. Open you'r liftgate ,on the passenger side you have rubber cover / channel that all the cables are going thru, slide it out of the body of the truck or liftgate, there you will find few broken cables, they will look like they have been cut,get some wire, extend them, reconnect wires and your lock will work again. Common problem with srx liftgate lock not working.

    Re: liftgate lock

xdaro1979x is right. I had to mend them a few times already. Brakes lights, Turn signals, backup lights go haywire. Make sure do a good job in mending the wires together. Always think ahead and plan things out. Shrink tubing on wire, then solder, then slip shrink tubing over the repair seems to hold better, than crimping method. Make sure the wires move freely as the hatch is opened and closed. The "S" grommets gets sandwhiched between hatch frame and body, so much of that stresses the wires and creates the problem. If your hatch door is locked and you can not open you have to find a way to unlock the latch from inside of vehicle. I found a way, but it was not pretty. Good luck.
