I'd wonder if the original replacement was oem or aftermarket.
Some Gm parts are 12 months / 12,000 miles some are 12 month unlimited miles. You might plead your case at the dealer getting it swapped under warranty or partial coverage.

Help. We have 06 srx and are on road trip. It just started spitting, missing and shuddering making loud noises. We think it might be torque converter failing. Is there a recall on it I am unaware of?

    Hi rescuegirl35,

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing these problems on your road trip. If you would like to PM me your VIN, I would be happy to run it through our system and check for open recalls.

    Have a great day,

    Austin J.

Yes I am having some and more of the same problems. What scares me the most is the traction control while it pops up and then stalls. Armen Cadillac service in Pa tells me its o.k. Will it be ok when I'm laying by the road side?? If anyone can help. Had the car 3 years 75,000 miles

    Good evening,

Your CF account is activated. Please use the Profile and Settings tabs to update your profile to show correct birth date, approximate location, car owned and time zone - or do you really live in London - GMT ? Current information sure does make diagnosis and advice a lot easier.

The timing chains now need to be replaced. Obviously this a known problem and should be recalled. A friend has a 2011 cts and just had the timing chains replaced, showing that gm has not fixed this defect! What a shame that the name Cadillac once meant luxury to me, now it means lemon. No wonder Americans are buying foreign cars! I will certainly not buy another gm product.
This is a Gawd damn shame! I feel exactly the same. One problem after another!
