Same problem with my SRX starting at intervals until several weeks ago it wouldn't start at all. Lights and all worked. Had put it in shop for new transmission in July hoping for no more problems; then mechanic suggested replacing battery which was another $200.00. Still only started a few times before it wouldn't start at all. Husband removed old starter and noticed something was sticking on it(can't recall what he said was sticking....chemo brain and Im a nurse with very limited mechanical skills); anyway he just replaced with a new starter and is taking it for a test drive! Praying I wont get the call from him to come pick him up! fingers crossed.

After 2 reman starters and a reman wiper motor failed within a couple of month after I installed them, I no longer buy anything that has been "remanfactured". I think they take parts off junk yard cars, paint them, and call them remaned. I had kept the receipts and returned them for new parts. It's just a pain to have to fix a car twice for the same thing. The parts were for my Jeep and Yukon.
