Then you have to take the time out to verify the oil level and top off before starting it that's assuming you have a newer battery. Then adjust all mirrors and seat settings also weather conditions whether you need wipers or not. Now if you are parked in the street make sure you drl turn signal isn't blown so you can legally pull into your driveway or garage. After all that assuming the ultraview isn't broken then you can pull into the garage to change the filter.

Re: SRX Cabin Air Filter Replacement

I assumed only certain models of the SRX had this cabin air filter. Bought my 2004 used in 2006 and always thought mine didn't have the filter. Looked on You-Tube and found a step by step video on how to replace the filter. Just went out to my SRX and followed the steps and was shocked to see that yes mine does have the filter and was also shocked as to how dirty it was. Ordering one right now from E-Bay for $9.46. Just changed the cabin air filter this morning. What a pain. Whoever designed this filter housing was an idiot. To make sure the filter was installed correctly I removed the battery and battery compartment. Took awhile but I did it.

Jake is absolutely right. Stupid engineering. Even with the excellent tutorials my hands looked like I had fought a bobcat before I gave up and drove to my indy. Even w the hood struts off and the tech's admittedly girly hands we struggled to get it back in snugly. Won't be doing that again...
