2008 srx sport with front tire rub

We recently bought a 2008 srx sport with 20" factory rims. We noticed that the front left tire is rubbing the frame rail when it is turned all the way to the left. The dealership tells us this is normal I don't think so. It has rubbed the undercoating off of the fram rail. Anyone have any suggestions

I just looked under my 09,and there is no sign of rubbing... However Turning the wheel and looking, there is not a lot of room/clearance there.

But I have the 18" rims.

Could be with the 20's and tires you have is causing your situation. Next time you get tires, get some lower profile ones. That will ad some clearance.

Of course, you could also try NOT turning the wheel to it's full locked position.

I have not heard of this problem before, but then I havn't read up on this since I don't have the Sport package. You may want to do a forum search to get more info. On a related note, turning the front wheels all the way up against the "stop" isn't healthy for any power steering assembly.

I agree that you shouldn't turn to that point, but I still don't think that Cadillac would engineer a srx that the tire would rub even at that point. The tires and rims are what size that the vehicle came out with

I agree with you, it should not be happening if they are the factory sized tires (255/55R20). I would take it to a different dealer if that is an option and stay away from those clowns.
