I have a non-iPod media player so I bought a generic auxiliary input device called a "PIE GM12LAN-AUX/S Auxiliary Input Adapter". Have not hooked it up yet so I can't tell you if it works. I think there are some iPod specific interfaces out there also. Google is your friend.

Voulez-vous avertir une solution qui utilise 'FM modulation' - c'est à dire, est-ce que vous préférez une solution avec une connection directe? PVI, à partir de 2007, il y avait dans les SRX une connection directe pour les lecteurs independentes.

Perhaps different enough that I scared him away!

I left Quebec when I was two but both my parents and our mechanic is from Quebec and I always wondered how much it was the same.

Plug the iPod (with Audio/Video cables) in the AUX input of the RSE. Then in the RSE menu select AUX for source. Then in the front select RSE as source to enjoy the sound from the iPod in the whole car.

If you have any more questions: I have the very same SRX.

    Yeah but...

You need those RCA jacks connected, which means the screen won't close (at least not on the '05) and worse yet might get pushed on and smashed. Also, you need to have the RSE on all the time, and it must be set to the right mode. Finally the line in on the RSE is very quiet.

Maybe it works for some but I threw that option out.

I don't quite understand your issue.
At least it is a solution the guy was asking for.

I agree the line in on the RSE is WAY too quite. I have been using this method for awhile, and yes it works but is cumbersome and the volume issue bugs me.

The device you posted above looks like what I need, but it says you need to have XM. I have the NAV radio but no XM (can this be added?). Did you get yours hooked up yet?

Funny you should ask. I just tried hooking mine up on the weekend. While it installed fine when I activated it it had chirps and squawks like crosstalk from a digital signal in the background. I need to call the manufacturer and figure out if there is a solution to that. Also, I am not sure the volume is any better

The specific unit I bought attaches between the wiring harness and the XM box so if you don't have XM it might not work. Google around and see. There must be a solution for non-XM cars somewhere.
