| Extending srx warranty? Ok guys, here's the situation.
My fathers srx warranty is about to be up.
He purchased it used with about 2x,xxx on the clock.
It's a 2004 and now has 52,000 miles.
While at the caddy dealer today for one of about 100 minor things that have gone wrong with the car, he asked about extending it.
They want 2400 for 3 year 8,000 mile or 2650 for 10,000 a year for 3 years.
Sound about right to you guys?
Can he just have it certified and get the 100,000 mile warranty?
Warranty is a must, and i have only had bad experience with 3rd party warranty's so that's out of the question.
The 8,000 mile a year things isn't that great, we live in nj and he goes to flordia with it for a month a year.
They are also offering him a "preferred customer" $200 dollar discount, not sure if that's true or just a sale's pitch.
Even though there is only 50k on it, there have been many many minor things that have gone wrong, which i'm sure would be wayyyyyy over a $2500 cost.
Any advice, is there a better way to do the warranty?
I looked up a few things online and some places only want to give you the gm warranty if you have an 05 or newer. |
