srx speedometer

hello people,

this is the first time for me in this forum and i want to buy a used cadillac srx or sts
but the fact is i got used to see the speedometer in km/h not mph

so could i change this by a button or something ?

what is really change:
1- the number itself becuase i have seen different types of numbers for km/h and mph

2- or the change occurs on the movments of arrow itself and the numbers still the same

if anyone can show this difference in pictures would be greatful.

finally i want to make sure that this applies on srx and sts

and from which year this applies on like from 2005 until now or what?

This has been standard on Cadillacs, at least, since my '02 Seville STS. I have an '08 SRX now. Your option 2 is correct. The mechanical speedometer changes from MPH to KM/H dynamically, e.g., the numbers are exactly the same, but when you select metric in the settings 'KM/H' is backlit instead of 'MPH'. Also when you change to metric the digital readout changes to KM/H, as well as all other trip calcs/measurements. Additionally, when switching to metric all temperature displays change to Celsius.

In case, Cadillac offers an export cluster top number would be 250 instead of 160. That makes sens if you like to go more than 160 kilometers an hour. If your dealer wont sell one, send PM to me and I'll get you an export cluster.
