    Question Squeaking in the Rear

I got my car SRX-V6 2 weeks ago - and drove the following day from San Diego to Las Vegas for break-in. The drive was great. I have however noticed that whenever I back up the car or make a turn (or whenever I am driving really slow), there is a faint squeaking in the rear of the car. I brought the vehicle back to the dealership and of course, Murphy's Law, the squeaking didn't happen while they were test driving it.
Is this normal ? Other than this, I am really happy with my SRX.

    Re: Squeaking in the Rear

We picked up our SRX last night at it has a squeak at the back of the car. The problem on our car was with the cargo net. Check the round knob where the cargo net attaches on the passenger and driver side. Ours squeaks on the passenger side. If you pull the knob or push it the plastic trim housing will squeak. I have not taken ours back to the dealer yet to attempt a fix - but by disconnecting the cargo next it squeaks alot less.

    Re: Squeaking in the Rear

Mine did the same thing. Upon closer inspecection the pannel was pulling slightly away on both sides. I was able to push the pannel pack in and it snapped into place. This was soon after I got my car. I now have 5,000 miles on it and the problem hasn't come back. I still keep the net on.
