They're roomy, they ride on car platforms, they handle better than trucks, they're light, can be very luxurious - and lately - very powerful. To ignore "performance" Crossovers is a mistake...
We've got several very fast Crossovers on the road. And the BMW X5 M is on it's way...
Although the official video from BMW failed to give any performance figures, some sources have indicated the X5 M will do with a turbocharged 4.4L V8 putting out 407 horsepower. However, now that BMW has confirmed the new model will wear the M badge rather than the more mundane xDrive50i moniker, we expect more than ‘just’ 407 ponies. Look for a figure closer to 500 horsepower in the road-going model.
