Rear Rotor Removal and Installation
Yesterday I changed the front rotors and pads on my 06 RWD. I moved to the rears to tackle them and got a little nervous. I can't tell, without removing the rotors, if the e-brake assembly is actually attached to the rotor.
1. Is the e-brake attached to the rotor or the hub assembly?
2. Do you have to remove the e-brake assembly to change the rotors?
3. If you do have to remove the e-brake assembly what is the procedure to remove and reassemble the e-brake?
Thanks

Re: Rear Rotor Removal and Installation
No, but the e-brake is pretty snug up inside the rear rotor, even when not applied. Use a rubber mallet and some elbow grease to pop the rotor off. Make sure you remove the mounting screw first. Good luck.

Re: Rear Rotor Removal and Installation
Ok thanks. I was scared that a spring or something would pop off from the e-brake.
