    Unhappy Rear Shock Absorbers

One of my rear shock absorbers went out, I have an 04 AWD with level control and magnetic ried control. They are asking top $$ for one shock. Over $600. Is there anybody who has an idea where to get a used one? I already looked up eBay with no success.

    Autobahn_ Burner: Checked http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/catalog/frameset.cfm
See attached file. Found the following for 2004 SRX and they show two areas for suspension components. Picked both shown as bold and underlined and the shocks available. Have no idea which is yours.

A side note: My son and family have a 16 year old female exchange student from the village of Wuchzenhofen in Bavaria. Is this near you?

    Here is another one- http://www.schramauto.com/
I was surprised they did not show any shocks for the SRX but you can contact them by email. Do know in the past they showed a ton of parts for SRX from rear view mirrors, front ends etc...........

Schram's is local for me. When I cracked a 17" wheel on my 04 CTS, they were able to locate a replacement when they were very hard to find.

    Re: Rear Shock Absorbers

Hello MortnCyn: Wuchzenhofen is a suburb of Leutkirch, Germany. About 50 to 60 mls from my office. Nice small town. Worth a visit at anytime of the year. Closest Airport Munich, Germany (MUC)
PS: already tried Schram by e-mail, no reply, will try again.
Will try the other suggestions, will let you know.
    Many thanks.
