Voluntary emission recall

It looks like GM acknowledged the faulty cats and is recalling certain 04 V6 srx models. I just got a letter today.

I also received a letter today for my 04/V6
I just replaced both cats 3 months ago.
I hope GM refunds my deductable

Got my letter yesterday, although I got both cats replaced back in 2005.

Yep, got letter today. Got appointment Tuesday. Are we gonna get a set of Cats out of this deal ???

Ditto. Got my letter today for my 2004 V6/SRX. I'm in New York.

I think they are just going to inspect the Cats and if needed then replace them. The letter says it's going to take longer than 3 hours. Am I going to get a loaner car while they do the work?

just 04 for now, and not many nationwide . its not all 04s there is a vin break, something like 18,000 involved

Mine took 2 days for the Dealer to replace back in January.
The Dealer replaced the Y pipe with the 2 Pre-Cats, leaving the Center Cat and the 2 mufflers original.

My cats had broken into pieces and were rattling infront of the center cat.
I had an error code for "Low Catalyst function"

We had both replaced on the wifes 04 quite a while ago. We got the letter last week so I'll call to see if we gotta take it in again.

I received mine over the weekend. I guess I'll call tomorrow and see when I can get it taken in. Can they determine if you are impacted by a VIN? I don't really want to leave it for a day to find out they don't need to do any work to my SRX.

if you got the letter from gm....then you are included, if the letter came from an outside source call your dealer and have them run a vis on your car

is your vehicle under factory warranty still? if its under warranty or certified you are entitled to a loaner vehicle, if you are out of warranty it is up to the dealer whether or not to give you one (even tho the recall is warrantied to u)

Got the letter for my 2004 AWD V6. Called for an early appointment. After 1/2 hour inspection they said I am effected. They must order the part and I will leave the car for the day. As I have an extended warranty they will provide a car.

This was my understanding also. But do you or anyone else know if the loaner car privilege for this recall would fall under the 8yr/80k emissions warranty of the standard 5yr/50k warranty?
