Recall or not ? Ultraview is closing only half way

Remove this ad
Hello guys...please help me ...

Just I bought an SRX 05/4.6/Nav/Double sunroof

My problem is that the Ultraview roof is only closing half way, and returning back to the open position with the automatic down button. If I press again the button everything is fine...

Just I want to know if this an official RECALL or I have to pay to get this fixed because my car is out of warranty.

Thank you in advance,
Laserguy

Somewhat normal. Likely a bit of debris in the tracks. Vac them out, and spray with a decent lubricant (NOT WD40). The auto-reverse is quite sensitive, but can be corrected easily.

In a pinch, just hold the close button until it's totally closed.

Re: Recall or not ? Ultraview is closing only half way

There is no recall for this, but there is a TSB out for it. As stated, the fix is to clean and lubricate the tracks to prevent any binding.

Mine was doing the same thing until the dealer performed the TSB recommendations and it's been fine ever since.

Thomas.
