2007 DVD Unlock Code?

Have done alot of searching and have come-up empty handed on the ability to view DVD's from the front player while the car is in drive. Has anyone had any luck with this? The four digit # for the older model cars works. I had an 2004 SRX and the keypad was available to enter the #'s. I've had no such luck with this new 2007. Any info or solutions would be appreciated. Maybe we could get a sneek peek at a service manual somewhere....! Grrrrrr!

I have a similar problem with my 2007 SRX. Many of the options on the nav system and the XM radio are disabled with the vehicle is above 5 MPH. What a bummer to have to stop to enter an address even when you have a copilot that can do the work. There has got to be a code to unlock this mess.

After much searching and reading....It would look as though it's gonna have to be a hardware addition instead of a software adjustment. Not sure I'm ready to spend $300.00 +/- to do this. Oh well, another day shot on the computer.

I have a guy from florida, not from coastaletech that sold me a piece just like that lockpick for a 2008 SRX, good customer service and the piece worked right out of the box plug and play. i'm happy with it. PM for more info if you want it.

So, how "hobbled" is the nav in the 07s? I just bought one and didn't know it was going to be a problem entering addresses etc.

yes new cars lock the navigation features while moving, those navigation unlock pieces help you to get rid of that locking feature.
