My First Road Trip(gas mileage)
Had to get away from Charleston so I drove up to Hendersonville, NC Saturday. Nothing like some mountain air to recharge the batteries.
I have to say that this is the most comfortable road car I have ever owned.
My legs didn't hurt after the 3.5 hrs.
There is no sensation of speed when you are this high up. 80 mph felt like 70 mph in a sedan.
My only negative of the trip was the gas mileage.
A little over 20 mpg at 80 mph.
On the way back we did 236 miles in 3:10. over 76 mph average. Not bad.
Gas mileage was about 20.4 mpg.
My Impala would pull about 29 mpg at this speed.
I discovered that the difference between 75 mph and 80 mph is 2mpg!
Secondly my computer is off. The computer says I went 258.9 miles between fill ups, my odometer says 263 miles.
The computer is off on gas mileage also. Over 1 mpg.
I am going to have to get used to the gas mileage and the $30.00 fillups.
The car and the shiftronic was an absolute blast in the mountains.
