you might want to check with your dealer's parts department. gmpartsdirect.com does NOT have it.

BTW, I do have them (factory ordered) and they look very nice. But you may not think so at @ $315.00.

Do you have any pics you could post? Are they just chrome covers, or do you have to replace both rails?

They appear to be chromed covers, however, since there is no provision for adjustment or removal, I think you'd have to get the whole "bar"

Ran out of daylight of delivery day, and today is "dingy", so pics will have to wait until possibly tomorrow.

    Re: Chrome top rails

I spoke to the Caddy parts dept. today, turns out the only way to get these chrome rails right now is to order it as an option when they are building your SRX. He said according to GM, I will have to wait until at least june before I can order them for my existing SRX. One good thing he said was that only the middle piece of the rails is actually replaced. The black end pieces stay on your car, the middle rails bolt right off. The tenative pricing he said will be around $180.00 a rail.

OUCH! That's $360. They, by the way, are an identical match for the chrome on the window sills.

    Sgilbert,
I think you may be the only one on this board that actually has this option. Not one SRX on the Caddy dealership lot or any I have seen on the road has the chrome on the rails. I have only seen it on the SRX's in magazines and ads.

It was a late availability option, and is only available on the V8 model right now. So, if you are looking at "older" inventory, they would not have been available when those vehicles were built.

    Re: Chrome top rails

I know a guy who can get the rails from GM for me for $280.00, but I have to put them on myself. Anybody ever done this before on a different SUV. Is it a big job?

It would most likely be very easy IF you can figure out how to remove either of the end caps.

    Re: Chrome top rails

I originally was interested in getting the chrome rails, but was turned off after seeing that the whole rail wasn't chrome (only the center section is). IMO, I think it would look a lot better if the whole rail was chrome. Maybe then would it be worth the $300.
