I ordered a set of Driv' Moonshines from Big Wheels three weeks ago, and just recieved them. They messed up my order twice, and ended up custom drilling a set of blanks from the factory. Yes they are 6x115, however 6x4.5 will work with hub centric rings. I lowered it with a set of Eibach 1.4/1.6 drop springs, and was still able to run a 265/45/20. That is it though. It is a 2006 awd v6, no mrc. If you are wondering how the springs ride, they ride much better than the factory springs. I was worried about that too. I am a dealer, and this is my personal car which is always for sale. Tell me what you think. |

The springs cost 260, but depending on labor rates, it could cost a good chunk. I think a single spring replacement pays an hour to an hour and a half. Then a 4 wheel alingment. It screws with the camber quite a bit in the rear. |

Now you need to get rid of that grey plastic front end. There are a couple of examples of mesh grilles on redline colored SRX's on my thread "installing E&G grille". It would look great with the wheels. |

I have no need for it, I have the Dual Mesh E&G on mine, anyway it's sitting in my storage.. Best of Luck, Tony |

Your car has a great stance, but I don't care for the wheels. Keep up the good work. I don't think SRX's get enough attention!

Love the Cadillac red, too!
PS - and the drop looks really cool. |

What do you think of the ride change of going to the springs. I am quite worried about doing it
Thanks,

I changed the springs out one night when she was gone. We aligned it with the factory wheels, and I parked the car in the garage. She drove it for a day, and later that night started telling me how she thought her car was riding smoother. True story. Now keep in mind, it is a non-MRC awd base. It didn't even have tire pressure sensors in it. I don't know if the original springs are different on those cars or not. I can check on that. The Eibach springs ride real smooth on the highway, but when you get into a corner the second stage of the spring is compressed and stiffens up the ride. It corners like a sports car now. However, when you put the 20's on it, you lose the ride again. It still rides better than a stock SRX with 20's. If you're worried, so was I, but I was pleasantly surprised. |
