3rd row seat question

The 3rd row seat on my new (to me) 2006 doesn't fold down all the way. Dealer says it's not supposed to but it looks like it should to me. It comes about 4-5 inches from laying flat and it appears that there is room for it to go all the way down. The result is a hump in the cargo area.

So I ask, is this normal? In pictures, it appears that the cargo area is flat with the 3rd row down. Is this an optical illusion? My dealer acknowledged that they've sold very few of the SRX's and he didn't seem absolutely certain about what he was saying...

My new 2007 folds down completely flush ..... go back to the dealer and tell him he doesn't know $hit about the car he sells then take it to a more "reputable" one for repair.

I made an outdoor carpet cover for the 07. Looks pretty flat.

The third row on my 05 folds completely flat. The second row does maintain a slight incline toward the front, but not much.

My third row on my '05 also folds completely flat...your dealer does not know what he is talking about...hope you get it worked out!

Mine folds completely flat (06). So should yours. One time the seat belt buckle got caught in between the seat and the side -- it stopped the seat from folding flat -- you may want to check that??
