 Trunk pull down problems
First of all I drive a 96 Seville SLS. I am having problems with my trunk pull down. After reading quite a few replies to similar issues, I decided to do a few things. First I checked the fuse. OK. Then I saw alot of problems with the black switch having buildup on the contacts. I decided not to take the switch apart because it was riveted together. Instead I wd-40 the heck out of it and cleaned off the external part of the switch. Then I put it back on and played with it for a while. And one time it pull the lid down. But kept trying and couldn't get it to engage again. So I assumed the motor was good and I bought a brand new switch, figuring that was the problem. Put it in and still doesn't work. Any suggestions would be appreciated! |
