The prefered method is out the buttom, the alternate method is out the top, if the right equipment is not availiable. eg, a hoist, dolly.

I did mine out of the top, 2 man job. Rear exhaust bolts a royal pain, dropped the A/C and left tied to the frame. Pulled the radiotor as well. Took 4-1/2 hours to get it out and about the same to put back in.
